1 Review from the ApartmentAdvisor Community
"Nice floorplans, but "Pecos Springs" is right"
For six years I had a 1-bedroom, 1-bath at Pillar at Pecos Springs (now Pillar at Taviano). I found the place to be pretty quiet, aside from one loud neighbor. It's a gated community with a few pools and a small gym. Occasionally it was hard to track down management to pay my rent, but there were usually no problems.
The community is very near the Loop 202, making it easy to access most of the Valley.
Overall, I liked the apartment. I loved having a washer and dryer. I also liked the layout of the apartment, which had only two of the four outside walls shared. The bedroom and closet were large.
The main thing I didn't like was that during 6 years, the apartment flooded twice, requiring days of fans and hotel stays (which management paid for). I suffered some minor property damage. And once, after they inspected the apartment upstairs, I came home to find a large water bubble in the paint in my bathroom. Maintenance had to tear out some of my bathroom wall and dry the space over a few days.
(After one incident, they asked if I had renter's insurance, and when I said yes, they said, "Thank God!" You should probably carry insurance too.)
