"health and safety nightmare"
WARNING! DO NOT MOVE INTO THESE APARTMENTS. i cannot give lower than one star rating.
The list of problems with this property is so long, I honestly have no idea where to begin.
I moved in here september of 2015, without many other options. the rent here is 750 for a one bedroom the size of a cracker box, and your ONLY safety comes if you live upstairs.
the local police do not give a damn about your safety on this property. since i have lived here i have been woken up to women screaming in pain while someone beat them(multiple times) "neighbors" standing outside my apartment literally screaming down to their friends (or enemies) at all hours.
the amount of homeless on the property is just stupid. and nothing is done about it. women on the property can hardly leave their homes without being harassed or verbally degraded, and GOD FORBID you try to ignore them because they will get up and come over to you to harass you.
there is no real maintenance on these properties. the decor from the road looks great, but take one step onto our lawn and you WILL fall over into a giant pile of mud and dog shit.even though it has been raining for the last week and a half, the property managers insist on running the sprinkler system 3 times a week at night. (even though they deny it)
there is a "gate" "in construction" and has been for well over a month with zero progress. now our driveways have a bunch of colorful spray paint, but no real protection. in addition to a GIANT pothole in the main entrance driveway.
there is NO PEST CONTROL and the foliage and grass is infested with fleas and mosquitos. standing water is left for weeks until reported to the city. I have a dog, and have bought countless flea medications, yet every single time i bring her in from going potty she scratches herself like no tomorrow. MY OWN LEGS look like they have been feasted upon. and i am not the only resident reporting this issue.
lets move to security. there is none. they hire a rent-a-cop, but I have no idea what he does, what time he shows up to work, what he's supposed to be doing, all because i have never seen him anywhere but sitting in his car.
on that note, parking. good luck! there are zero assigned spots (unless you're the manager then you have two just for you as of a few weeks ago) and way too many cars. if you arrive home anytime past 10:00 you have to walk from the unlit way back parking lot, by the dumpsters. safe right?
the laundry rooms are a joke. half the machines either do not work, or you must run your clothes through them twice. the prices for the machines jumped from an already stupid 1.75 wash and 1.25 dry, to 2.00 wash and 1.50 dry, without any repair on the machines. when the management was talked to about this, i was told that it was MY responsibility to call the company and have them come out and repair the machines. excuse me, i pay you to live here, i don't work here.
the inside of the apartments is a whole nother story. I have a giant crack running up the corner of my apartment where the walls are starting to split apart. there are NO VENTS BETWEEN ROOMS, so your a/c and heater do NOTHING for your bedroom. there is also NO INSULATION, along with a 1 1/2 inch gap between the bottom of my front door and the VERY terrible false wood floors. (which for some extremely stupid reason are also in the bathroom, instead of a water resistant flooring like cheap tile) so any time you run the heat or ac you'll have to stuff a towel under your door to keep the heat in or waste your power bill . the wiring in the apartments is terrible. the microwave installed in the apartment CANNOT be run on full power or it trips the breaker. don't even get me started on the lighting. two unevenly placed lights over the kitchen area, but no lights at all over the living room. so with the standard lights in the apartment you'll be living in half darkness while being bewildered at the idiots who designed this architectural nightmare
DO NOT LIVE HERE. PASS.
Stayed 2015 to 2017, lived as a couple in a 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment
