"Unhealthy Living Conditions"
in the last week
Lived hear over 2 years but found MOLD GROWTH in our apartment 3205 which left it uninhabitable. GOODBYE...Don't get me wrong-Avalon the development is beyond awesome! BUT Haven at Avalon aka the apartments managed by Matrix Residential and owned by Prudential are AWFUL. They're tiny and overpriced. The airflow in the place is AWFUL with one air return duct for the entire apartment. No air supply ducts or gaps under doors in closets for that AWFUL moldy musty basement smell!
To add insult to injury those musty exterior hallways constantly exposed to the outdoor humidity coupled with faulty mechanical system design not properly exchanging room air which helps result in dirty HAZARDOUS indoor air quality full of mold spores to grow all over your personal belongings
Had the displeasure of unpleasant Elizabeth Amick of Matrix, whom I imagine goes home to buries her face in a pint of Hagendaaz and eats her self to sleep with her cats nightly who blatantly withheld supportive documentation of the hazardous mold condition, as well as photographic evidence relating to proper operation of AIr Conditioner...plus she refuses to acknowledge that the job of curing unsafe living conditions is the management company's to tackle. I requsted, but denied my respectful request for a conversation in hopes of an amicable solution and instead received a letter from their attorney claiming that I was to blame, I had 14 days to move and I was expected to pay $10,000 for remediation!
It used to be great service their when Puddin was there and North American Properties and the great Mr Toro owned Haven at Avalon...But now everything about the management of this place leaves a bad moldy taste in your mouth in light of the way the corporate office deals with maintenance and repairs to keep the property in a good safe liveable condition for their tenants who they could care less about.
Stayed 2015 to 2017, lived with family in a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment
