"Could not be happier"
We are so happy that we made the move to Currents, (was once called Regency Point).
I have so much to say about Currents…
We applied for an apartment, and I will say the proses is very in-depth, very in-depth, and it took a bit longer than we thought it would for all our credit and background and rental history to come back but that is not a bad thing in our opinion, it shows that they don’t just want anyone living here.
While we were waiting for an Okay on all our paperwork we were kept in the know as to where things we and what information they got back, and what they were waiting for.
We were shown the apartment we were applying for and told what all that was going to be done before we moved in.
Over the couple weeks of waiting we made a number of trips to the property at different hours, in different weather, we drove around just to see how things were, we were impressed at how clean the parking lots, grounds and even the trash areas were,(big change from where we were moving from), we looked at the decks and patios they were not filled with junk, (the place we were moving from allowed grills, bikes, toys, ect. on decks/patios, even allowed people to hang clothes on deck…it was a lease violation but they did not enforce any of the lease/rules), there were not people out on their deck/patios at all hours, with music playing/talking/drinking,(again this was the norm for where we were moving from)…at 10pm when we drove through there were very few apartments with lights on and to us that said that this was a complex that has a lot of working people living here who go to bed at night and it was not a flop house/party place.
Once we were told that we had been accepted, we were sent a letter with all the information about what funds prior to moving in were needed, that we needed to set up a New Resident Orientation.
We were also given a Community handbook with everything spelled out as to what was allowed and what wasn’t, we were allowed to and not feel rushed at all while we read our lease, and ask questions that were answered, we never felt we were pushed/rushed or that all they wanted was us to hurry up and sign and give them our money.
We were walked through, shown where everything is, pool(s) indoor and outdoor, sauna, fitness center,(that is open 24/7), tanning, change machine, vending machines,(with everything from tuna, mac&cheese, milk to sweet and salty snacks), at the office we were told about the small store, video rentals, the laundry room(s),*and they were spotless when we did out walk through, impressed us a lot, as where we were moving from was never clean, and most of the time clothes did not get clean and almost all the time were not dry).
We told about all the other perks…pkg. delivery, free fresh veggies when in season, 24hr maintenance on site, they have guest suites for out of town guests for rent, coffee/tea every day the office is open for free, they have events for residents over 55, and also movie nights that are for everyone, lots of other things.
There is a nature area where you can watch birds, bunnies, and now and then deer…it’s been decorated very cute and it wall kept.
Staff has been friendly, outgoing and all around very kind/helpful.
Every question we have ask has been answered without delay, if the person we ask the question of did not know the answer they found someone who did and who could speak with us right then, even when we met someone who works here after hours they are friendly.
We live on ground floor and this is something very new for us, we have living on 3rd floor in every place we have lived for 15 years, and we were unsure how we were going to like it and unsure about the safety…well we LOVE ground floor, no stairs is a huge plus, as for the safety part of it…we feel very safe, we have our windows open day and night, we are not bothered by people looking in our apartment…everyone is so respectful.
We had to make a call to maintenance after hours, and there was someone at our apartment within 15min. and the problem was fixed within ½ hour, he left the area as clean as he found it, he was polite, and friendly.
Because the apartment we are in was a total redo before we moved in, somehow they forgot to hook up the wall switch to one of the outlet’s so we could turn on a light, I told them about this just in passing because it was not a big deal to us, the next day someone was at our apartment to fix it.
I have ready ALL the reviews for Currents, and I do not understand why there are so many bad one’s…I do believe that 90% or more are written by people after they have moved out, and they are upset for whatever reason…if people would address things in a calm polite way when things come up, they would get fixed/addressed.
The people who say the buildings were stinky, well, you did a walk through when you looked at the place and again when before you moved in, why didn’t you make note of this at that time, and say something….?
We're happy to call this home.
