"TERRIBLE"

I lived in this complex from end of October 2015 through mid-November 2016. It was pure hell from the very beginning. This 13 month lease could not end soon enough.

If you are in communication with any of the Springs management - Richard Montgomery, Kelsey Sheehan, Tara, just to name a few, just be patient; they'll respond next month.

First, we were scheduled to move in on September 7, 2015. Because of the repeated delays in construction, we ended up having to live in a hotel room for almost 2 months. We still did not even move into the unit we were supposed to, because construction still was delayed. We ended up moving into a main-street (42) facing unit. At this point, we should have looked elsewhere but we were really excited to get into a brand new apartment that has never been lived in before, with all the amenities that the Springs boasted. Boy were we wrong.

Upon moving in, we found various issues with the unit. The way things were put together, such as the flooring, cabinets, doors/doorknobs, blinds, etc. seemed really sloppy and cheap. Our center island countertop was not properly bolted down and would tilt. The materials LOOK nice but truthfully, it is all cheap, thin, and hastily slapped together. The AC/heating unit is ridiculously loud. I mean, LOUD. The bugs at this place are insane. There were always spiders, beetles, lady bugs, box cutter bugs, you name it - coming into the home. I have never experienced the amount of pests like I have here. For a brand new apartment, the insulation was unacceptable. The window in the master bedroom was not lined up correctly, so there was always a small crack at the bottom, letting in the aforementioned bugs and a draft.

Smoke coming in through vents (in a NON-smoking builsing), parties, loud drinking and smoking outside any day of the week, alarms waking me up at 5am daily, the list goes on and on. Management's failure to handle these complaints was a constant theme.

As pretty much every other review has mentioned, this place is a disaster. First, it is advertised as a gated community. However, the gate was not installed and working until the very end of our lease. And then when it was up and running the thing was a JOKE. Half the time it didn't work. The pool in the summertime is a zoo. There is nonstop construction. All the freakin time. We would get a notice on Monday, that beginning Tuesday at 7am, construction was being done and any cars in the lot would be towed. Then, come Tuesday, the construction does not even begin! One time I came home and to my surprise, the entire side walk and front patio leading to my door was ripped up. No notice, no warnings, nothing. Half the time there is no parking because they have tractors, bob cats and other construction vehicles taking up half the lot. Other times, there is construction debris, piles of rock, dirt or other rubble that prevents you from being able to park or maneuver in the parking lot. Once I found a detached large metal shard in the middle of the road. I don't mean small, either. This thing was like 10 feet long just left in the middle of the road. Sharp and ready to puncture my tire. Or my kid's shoe. Don't you love risking getting Tetanus on your afternoon stroll?! People drive through the parking lot like bats out of hell.

Oh, did I mention DOGS? This place is a freaking dog resort. I am an animal lover. I love dogs. I loved being able to walk out to my car and get to know my neighbors and their furry friends. What I didn't love is the little dog shit receptacles stationed every 10 feet that reeked of dog waste. Not only were these not cleared out enough, but they positioned them a foot away from the sidewalk. So imagine this....it's a nice day out. You walk outside and feel the sunshine on your skin and nice breeze on your face then BOOM. The overwhelming smell of dog crap fills your lungs and flies and gnats swarm you. Disgusting. And that was IF the dog owners actually used the cans. Most of the time, there was a nice turd on the grass waiting to get smashed into the bottom of your shoe. That's not even to mention the noise that comes with said dogs. The lady behind us had 4 little yappers. That was a real treat.

Bottom line, I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. The best part about this complex was driving out of it for good last November. The management team here really needs some restructuring and/or retraining. It is apparent that their goal is to butter you up to get you in and once you've signed that lease, the tables turn. Why not work hard to please your potentially long-term residents and work on retention? Beats me. Read the reviews all over on this place, and listen to them. DO NOT MOVE HERE.
