"The worst rental experience I've ever had!"
My family and I moved into a 2 bedroom 2 bath garden apartment in January 2015. The office had shown us a unit in the front of the property and we were then placed in the back, understandable as I get you have to fill what's open, whatever. HOWEVER, what we were given was not what was shown! Shoddy maintenance, unknown substances splattered on the walls, dead bugs in the window sills, etc. It was gross.
We had a nuisance of a neighbor for nearly 3 months, and the office did nothing to fix the situation besides waiting for her to stop paying her rent and get evicted. Dogs barking 5-7 hours right about you with paper thin walls is not how I enjoy my nights, sorry.
The walls are thin (you can hear a conversation clearly next door), the insulation is crap in the units (our electric bill was nearly $300 every month with a thermostat on 67 and no one home all day), lots of traffic day and night (people stomping and screaming up and down the stairs between 11pm-2am/ 5am-6am), gun shots, break ins, unkept grounds (pot holes, broken signs/fences, playground equipment, volleyball courts, etc.), rude staff in the office (except Shay!), and apartments that are not worth what they charge for rent. Kids play inside the dumpsters (gross), people leave their dog poop in the yard, people break in to cars and apartments in broad daylight, kids will try to open your door for no good reason, and the grounds don't feel safe after dark. People leave their music blasting at all hours of the night, and if you call to complain, forget about getting a response. They do nothing.
Be advised, I live in Pickerington now, with comparable rent, better schools, and much better office staff. The Moors is a waste. The place is basically for bums and people who can't get an apartment elsewhere. Had I known before I paid and packed my things that far, I would have run far far away. Really do your research. This place is a trap!
We moved out in February 2016, and I can honestly say it was the hardest and most stressful experience ever moving from somewhere. They tried to withhold my deposit and actually went over the 30 days they have, by law, to return it. I had to have someone hand deliver the check to me, as I could have sued them right then and there. These people prey on those who need somewhere to move quickly.
Stayed 2015 to 2016, lived with family in a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment
