"No! No! No!"
I have only been living at Lexington Park a few months and I am counting the days until I can move out. Central air conditioning was working when I moved in but stopped working and there is no indication management plans to repair. I can barely stand to stay inside the apartment, it is so hot and miserable. The standard response for anything is: "We are getting quotes for companies to replace the air conditioning units, the windows, etc." yet nothing ever gets done. My furnace has a sticker on it from 1973 when the complex was built so it must be the original unit. I honestly do not think these units have been renovated or updated since the complex was built. The windows are single pane and a lot of them don't close properly, won't stay up, the screens don't fit, or the screens are shredded or missing entirely. Some of the screens are taped in place. The current management (could change next week) responded this way to a comment from a tenant. The tenant said: "You know, if you would keep this complex maintained, it would be a gold mine". The management employee responded: "It already is a gold mine!" Broken windows everywhere, tons of undisciplined, unsupervised kids screaming and riding their bicycles everywhere, including on the 2nd floor walkways, broken AC's in about half the units, no hot water in the washing machines and no heat in the dryers (management did not pay gas bill and most of the tenants are forced to use a laundromat blocks away), rusty broken stairways that the Code Enforcement cited them on--this is an awful place to live. The only good thing I can possibly say about Lexington Park is that they mow the grass fairly regularly and it is quiet at night (at least in the area where I live). This property is owned by CITYR http://www.cityrgroup.com/us/properties/ which is registered in New Jersey. The property was purchased by CITYR for $19 million in 2014. The management company has changed many times since the sale and current management company is Radius Properties also based in New Jersey. This is from CITYR's website: "In the ever dynamic commercial real estate sector, lucrative investment opportunities can arise through traditional asset acquisitions, as well as recapitalizations of distressed properties suffering from underperforming property operations or in need of capital expenditures". Definitely distressed! Definitely in need of capital expenditures!

"Nice place, but it has its problems"
I have more than 3 years since I moved here and I am ok with this place, but that doesn't mean there's no place for improvements. To be honest, in the first place I chose this complex because it is pet friendly and now I see how much my pet enjoys the new dog park. That was a wonderful thing to do. I did not have major problems inside the apartment, but when it happened to ask for some help from the maintenance service, they were incredibly nice and hard working. What I don't like are the managers of this complex that are really indifferent to us and to our needs. It happens sometimes for my neighbors to be really noisy and that really bothers me since the management is not making some changes for this kind of issues. But overall, this is a nice place to live in.
"Not what I hoped for"
Only a few good things about this place and so many other that went totally wrong. The office staff always tried to make its residents a little happier, they are careful and fun sometimes. The complex is located really close to the bus line and it's situated at a walkable distance from different stores and restaurants. It's nice to have a tennis court, a fitness center and a pool but what's the use if everybody avoids this places? Trash everywhere, the mold began to settle on the ceiling and walls of my apartment after my neighbor flooded my apartment. On top of that a lot of fire incidents happened around here. Not the life that I hoped for here.
"I would move out any time"
Not satisfied with this place. Hard for me to feel safe and happy about my staying here because I hear all the time about car breaks, hard to count on the maintenance service when you need it because they don't answer your calls or it takes too much until they fix the issue. I never trusted the cleaning around this complex, it's been ages since I used the complex's amenities such as the pool or the gym...and God, there is a horrible smell outside the buildings...why doesn't anybody care about changing this place? I would move out tomorrow if I could.
"I said No because of the noise"
I just visited Lexington Park but it was enough for me to make an overall idea. The leasing staff were beyond expectation, they seemed very interested in what I am looking for and they really tried to make me feel good about this place. I really appreciate that. What I liked the most was how the apartment looks, it is small but cozy and it has a separate living room, a dining room and a big bathroom with everything you need. What I did not liked were the colors on the walls and the old furniture which makes the entire image of the apartment a little bit old and uneventful. I was also surprised to hear so much noise inside the building, I don't even know if it was just a phase or it is a constant activity...My stressful life doesn't need all that fuss...that's the main thing that made me say no to this place.
