"Should Have Moved Elsewhere"
We just moved in 2 weeks ago and are regretting the decision. The other review on here is definitely correct in how bad the maintenance issues are and also how it is ridiculous to have to pay the monthly trash pickup fee when you have to walk or drive a good distance to the trash compactor, which piles up with mountains of trash causing the smell to be atrocious and noticeable from as far as a block away. It is nice to have the garbage cans by the mailboxes and we primarily use those for small bags of trash. Our 2 bedroom 2 bathroom unit is on the second floor and it is fairly quiet except for the constant dog barking coming from the neighbors' apartment directly below us, they leave the windows open and blinds up all day and the dog will bark at anyone or anything that walks by, which is constant until the owners return home from work. We also suspect someone at the complex is not properly cleaning up after their dog because the bushes by our building reek of animal feces. Maintenance is a joke and the guys obviously don't know what they're doing, one of them was extremely rude and questioned the validity of our concerns because he couldn't duplicate the issue we were having and also basically called us liars about having large stains (which we think are mold or water damage) on the supposedly new and steam cleaned carpet. We plan to hire Stanley Steemer to properly clean the carpets and Appliance Warehouse to repair/replace the washer and dryer because maintenance can't seem to figure out what's causing the issues with them and I'm not going to pay an extra $50 monthly for ones that don't work. We also plan to hire a pest control company to properly treat our apartment for bugs (although we have to check and see if we are allowed to do any of those things) because maintenance can't be trusted to do these things correctly. If we are not allowed to hire any of them and the complex refuses to help us any further I will take the advice given in the previous review and have Franklin County Public Health come and do an inspection of our unit. Here are the maintenance issues we are currently experiencing and can't seem to get fixed properly, several of which the office claims are normal because the unit was vacant for a month and they would have had no way of knowing:
Washer constantly leaks water from the bottom and dryer smells like it is overheating
Vinyl flooring in kitchen is lifting up (they claim it can't be fixed until we move out because they would have to rip up the kitchen and utility room floors) and we have tripped numerous times because of it. We think it is due to the washer constantly leaking water over time
Freezer usually does not keep food cold enough and everything starts to thaw
Toilet in master bathroom clogs each time it is used and obviously needs to have parts replaced because just snaking it is not doing the job
Toilet paper holder in second bathroom has broken off twice since we moved in
Clothes bar in second bedroom closet is loose and I'm waiting for it to fall down one day
Doorknob on inside of front door broke off and we have to keep holding it in place whenever we need to open the door from the inside
Two windows are full of condensation (but are supposedly on the list to be replaced by contractors this summer)
Lights in both bathrooms constantly flicker whenever someone is using the hair dryer in one of the bathrooms (breakers had both reset sometime before we moved in and outlets did not work)
Stove is not level so food does not cook evenly as a result
Spackle and paint are splattered all over the bathroom and kitchen floors, fireplace hearth and carpet
There is a gap at the top of the front door which is likely going to cause high heating bills in the winter
There are signs of water damage on the ceilings that were obviously just covered up with paint
Cracks in walls and ceilings
Tub in second bathroom loudly creaks whenever it is being used and you can feel it shifting under your feet (maintenance claims nothing can be done because this supposedly happens as the buildings shift over the years), it also constantly cracks and pops when not in use
Carpet is supposedly brand-new and was steam cleaned prior to us moving in but there are two large stains which we suspect might be mold or water damage
Bugs are in the apartment at all times despite maintenance recently spraying the apartment which we ended prematurely because they could not verify that the chemicals were safe to use around pets
There are some good things about the complex such as lots of walking trails, a nice pool and being close to shopping and businesses but that's about it. Also, Kendall and Matt at the leasing office are wonderful and try their best to work things out. But unfortunately the bad outweighs the good and we wish we had gone with either of the Charleston or Orleans complexes, though they are a bit more pricey. Wish we could break our lease but unfortunately we're stuck here for another year.

"FIND A BETTER PLACE IN DUBLIN!!!!! DO NOT OVERPAY TO LIVE HERE!!!"
Have tried multiple times to submit notice of repairs with no avail and finally had to call the Dublin Health Department. They have found multiple major health code violations in our "renovated apartment". If you are having these same issues, I urge you to call the health department on this place. They come out free of charge and inspect.
So this place has "New renovations" posted right in front of the building for people to see. Let me just stop you there. DO NOT GO ANY FURTHER into these scams. We moved in 3 months ago. I loved the large space, and beautifully renovated kitchen. But don't let these scammers fool you into paying $1450 a month for renovations. I am not one of those people that cannot live with a few defects, considering these are apartments. But here is my list and it is a long one:
There are two windows above the door and a huge crack all the way around the door. Not only is my electric bill OVER $200.00 a month, when it rained the other week, my entire foyer was soaked with water leaking down the wall.
The "renovated" kitchen (because I don't consider a fresh coat of paint and carpet renovated)..... Dishwasher stops halfway through the cycle because it is not hooked up correctly. One of the cabinet doors is rubbing against the other, creating wood splintering.
Now to our back patio. The door handle has broken off of the door 4 times because although we have bought oil to help it along, it still is almost impossible to open. Our actual lock to the back door has been broken for two weeks now, so anyone wanting to come in while we are sleeping or at work can do so easily. The carpet by the patio door has nails underneath sticking out, and I have slit my foot open because of that. When we pulled up the carpet to assess the nail situation, we observed a two inch crack between the foundation and the wall.
Which brings me to the bug situation. Bugs are completely normal in any house. Every once in a while. For weeks we have found spiders in the apartment, and other strange bugs. At least once a day we find a bug crawling on the wall, in our towels when we get out of the shower, and yesterday I walked through my front door into a spider web that reached from the ceiling of our foyer, to each side of the wall. One day we counted a total of 5 bugs that we found. I am assuming they are getting in due to the poor foundation of this "renovated apartment".
The upstairs is always AT LEAST 15 degrees hotter than the downstairs. This place is obviously poorly insulated. The toilet paper holders in all bathrooms were placed so close together that you can not replace the rolls, so ours sit on top of the holder.
They have ONE trash compacter for the entire complex. We pay $15.00 a month for "trash pickup". What they do not tell you is that you are paying $15.00 to load stinky trash into your car and take it a quarter mile to the compacter, if it is a holiday week you can not expect to be able to even walk within 10 feet of it. Considering there is one trash can for the entire complex, it stinks so bad and there is trash bags that people can not fit into it all over the ground.
I bought flowers to make the little area outside look nice. The apartment next to us was vacant and they let the weeds grow over into our area and literally some of the weeds grew taller than the fence. And management had the nerve to send out an email stating that we need to keep our patio area nice. What about the 4 foot tall weeds on both sides of my apartment?
Sorry for the long post and normally I don't complain about the small things... But I also don't expect to pay $1,450 to live somewhere and not only have all these problems.... but to make management aware of them and have them give me attitude and just not even bother to fix the problems. The manager literally told us it was "normal" to have that many bugs in an apartment. I grew up on the Westside of Columbus and I don't expect to be paying to live in Dublin but in all reality living in a dump.
