"Great location, great experience!"
In the two years we lived here, we had a great experience. The maintenance staff was readily available with any issues we had - we only had to call them once and it was taken care of immediately. The building is very dog friendly and we made friends with many other dog owners in the building. The location is perfect being a few blocks from the best bars and restaurants on 2nd street. Street parking is readily available outside of the building. We loved our time in Liberties Lofts and only left because of our careers. We would recommend Liberties Lofts to anyone looking to live in the Northern Liberties neighborhood.

"5 stars without a doubt"
I have been living in Philadelphia for about 3 years now. I've been dealing with dozens of Real estate agencies all over the city. I've lived in four different apartments and I had difficulties with the staff and management with all these apartments because of my physical disability. Many places out here in Philadelphia didn't accommodate or they just didn't want to accommodate shockingly. When I lived in these apartments I've always looked for a better one so that I can live comfortable and go to school and work and enjoy my life just like everyone else. Here at Liberty lofts I know I finally found one of the best. I've been denied by many Real estate agencies, landlords, and owners not based off of my credit or income but because of my disability. The building owner Howard, didn't immediately denied me because of my disability, but actually went out of his way to accommodate me out of his own pocket and heart. I told him what I needed and he put it into action immediately regardless of what it took. I wasn't considered as just another tenant to him, he actually cared about my well-being. He installed a very expensive automatic door opener for me that he paid for with his own money. Even after he did that, he offered if there is anything else that I needed enabled for me to live comfortably. Howard treated me with the upmost respect, along with his staff. The maintenance teamed up with Howard and made my moving in experience very smooth. I've been very happy since I've been here and do not plan on leaving any time soon.
As far as the building, it is absolutely gorgeous, they're putting up new pictures and minor decor since I've been here, but even before that it was still beautiful. The apartments are very spacious with new appliances. The building is very clean and well maintained. Unfortunately I've lived in apartments with rusty pipes, infestation, old appliances, etc. I haven't seen anything like that here. At liberty lofts my only dislike is the slightly thin walls. But with a place with so much space and high ceiling it's understandable.
The tenants I have encountered with are extremely friendly, I've had a tenant I did not know, helped me carry a few heavy things into my apartment when she saw me carrying things in. I've made friends that live on my floor and all throughout the building, and so far I can't complain about them. Everyone I've come in contact with so far is extremely friendly and keep to their selves. My dog has made many friends as well with other dogs and he is also happy.
The building is very safe, there are working cameras on each floor that I've actually seen in action when I went to visit the maintenance man in his office. So I know they work. No one else is allowed in the building unless you are a tenant. The parking lot is gated, and you also cannot enter unless your a tenant. I feel safe every time I open up the gate to enter the parking lot. The road the gate is on isn't as busy as the front of the building so it's pretty excluded which gives a little bit of privacy. Most of the people that walk by are residents of the neighborhood that walk their dogs or jog. And from where I'm from and if you see dog walkers and joggers you're in a good neighborhood. But despite my own analysis, Northern liberties is a very safe part of town according to my Google research and experience. I walk my dog to the park up the street every week at any time without a problem.
The neighborhood is very convenient as well. If you need to make a quick run to a pharmacy there is a Rite Aid and a CVS walking distance from the building. There's many gas stations nearby as well. For nightlife, there's a bar called honeys that is also walking distance or you can go to silk city which is also walking distance. There is a club called Trilogy 3mins away so if you're a young College student like me this place has it all, but this place is great for any age group. Down the street from the building on 3rd Street, there's a lot of restaurants with good eats, literally had the best burger of my life at a place called Green eggs café, definitely recommended. I've been all around Philadelphia and I can't think of a better area to live.
I've been here since February 2017, I've been very skeptical with a lot of places from my experience in Philadelphia so I understand if you are really going based off reviews. I strongly recommend this place to anyone if you're looking for a place were maintenance, staff, and ownership is going to work with you to have a wonderful living experience. I am extremely happy here. Any issues this building has they will work with you and work it out until you're happy, and I say this with confidence based off of my experience. If this place wasn't wonderful at a time they definitely are now.

"Great location & fabulous building staff and ownership is very consistent"
I've been a tenant here for 4 years now! Great location! If any type of problems, maintenance and building staff are available right away to help you! Ceilings are high and beautiful! They also have a rooftop deck which they recently added furniture. You can have a few drinks and see the city sky line. Place is clean and always perfect room temperature in building. Place is also very safe due to needing a badge to swipe to get access. 5 stars if you ask me :)

"Shady management even worse maintenance"
I lived in this building for three years - the building itself is awesome - less the coin operated 1980 washers and dryers and the paper thin walls -
The clincher for me was busting the maintenance manager and some other "criminal" going into my apartment with my NEST cam and talking about my belongings as though they were going to eventually steal them - they talked about my fathers manufacturing plant as well as how much money I made - they also talked about how they control the building owner Howard and how they control his emotional attachment with his tenants.
This property has fake cameras around the outside that are just there for show - they actually posted a notice about the roof deck and how they may install cameras up there - this was a threat to the residents to basically follow the roof deck rules or they will install cameras - meanwhile last year a tenant was robbed at gunpoint right outside the building and then this year my neighbors had their motorcycles stolen from the parking lot which also has fake cameras - the thieves cut the metal fence and came in a stole the motorcycles - the maintenance fixed the fence with plastic zip ties and then management raised the parking rent to 125$.
I have tried to contact the actual owner but the management office refuses to give me his contact number -
This place if you choose to live there could be so awesome if it were owned by someone who actually cared about his tenants - the owner is a criminal attorney that hires guys he defends to maintain his properties which so far as I know is not how you do things - plus who wants an ex-con walking around with the keys to your apartment - may even be breaking a law possibly -
I am not renewing my lease and I am bummed because I love my apartment but I will not pay rent to someone who basically broke into my apartment and talked about stealing my belongings -
If you move here or live here get a security camera because maintenance WILL enter your space when you are not there it is just a matter of time until they get your routine down and know when you are not home.
