"Appropropriate Attention to Complaints"
I am a long time resident of Waterford Place and it has been home for me and my family. Over the years I have seen many management company changes and shift in the demographics of the residents. Through the process of these changes, I remained a resident because it truly felt like my home. A recent issue has resulted in me deciding that the time has come to move onward. I have always occupied a ground floor apartment and so routine neighbor noise is to be expected. Recent experience has seen me dealing with loud neighbors as late as 1:30am and as early as 6:30am. Loud for this review is defined as stomping on the floors, loud phone conversations that are an argument in tone with profane language as well as music that literally bumps my walls. After numerous complaints, following the appropriate channels as directed by management as well as finally a heartfelt message to the Property Manager, I have yet to see the situation corrected. I was advised recently of plans to notify via written communication, but either it didn't happen or the residents didn't take it serious. I am a loyal resident-pay on time, no complaints or problems, consistent and considerate, yet I am being made to seem like the problem. This has become unacceptable to me as it is the expectation of any adult that they will have a safe, respectful environment. When leadership fails to follow-up with you even after their attempt at notifying the parties and you advising them it still continues and thereby the issue does not resolve, one must make a decision that is best for the individual. While this has been home to me during some very significant occasions in my life, I no longer believe my loyalty and consistency is valued. The walls may not be very thick, however some level of consideration should be given to your neighbors in that regard. Loud music and arguments at wee hours of the morning on not just one or two occasions but ALL the time, is not acceptable. I am hopeful that management will be better with future residents when receiving valid complaints about issues. The plus in recent years is an awesome Maintenance Staff-dedicated and punctual with responding to requests and always professional. I will miss them.
