I enjoyed staying at Arlington Pointe, and the main reason for that is their maintenance guy, Rick. The apartment had several issues when I moved in, one of which was the A/C not working properly. Rick was very helpful and quick to respond to my complaints. He also made sure to check in afterwards on the repairs and see if the problems were fixed. Another downside of living here is the noise issue, because the walls are really thin and you might hear your neighbours a lot. A bonus for this complex is the location. Besides being next to the river, it is convenient for easily accessing other areas like Downtown, Grandview, Dublin , Upper Arlington or the Campus area.
"Really nice place to live in"
Arlington Pointe left a really good impression on me. The area is surrounded by nature, with the park and river next to the complex, which makes it perfect for someone who likes to jog, has a dog or simply enjoys spending time outdoors. The complex is situated in the school district and I always felt safe in the neighborhood. Most of the residents are college students or young families and everyone I met was really friendly. The only problem is that some of the apartments are not really up to date so I had some plumbing issues, but the person who does maintenance here, Rick, has been really helpful and everything was fixed within a couple of days. The price and the space you get make this a really convenient place to live.
"Such a disappointment"
I chose to rent an apartment in this complex because it seemed like a decent price for the aspect of the place and the amenities they offer. The location is great and I really enjoyed the pool and the gym at the clubhouse which tenants can use for free. Unfortunately, most of the apartments are poor quality with no recent renovations done, so there's always something that needs repairing. Which would be fine, but there's only one single person in charge of maintenance for the whole complex. He's really polite and proffesional, but you can imagine there's way too much work for one man, so most of the time the repairs are postponed over and over again. A very important issue is that the A/C and heat control system are on the rooftop of the building, so basically you don't have a choice other than wait for the management to turn it on or off when they consider to do so. Therefore, I had days with no heat in winter and days when I was suffocating in the summer. Also, there's not enough parking space for everyone and it gets worse in the winter since the management doesn't care to plow the parking lot.
Despite the great surroundings, I completely regret staying at Arlington Pointe. I had to deal with constant plumbing issues, so did all my neighbors. The paint on the walls was so old it was peeling off and pieces of wall kept falling apart. I even had trouble getting in the apartment sometimes because the door at the entrance was broken. None of these issues were fixed during my stay here. There was a maintenance guy, but the apartment was in such a bad shape none of the repairs lasted. On top of it all, the management was very unresponsive and rude.
